I’ll be honest with you. Writing these lines is part of setting up a plan for Amazon returns. Now that I can spend more time in our facilities in the mornings, I notice that the mountain of these products is getting bigger and bigger.
These are the options we are currently implementing and evaluating.
Resend products as new to Amazon
I don’t have an exact number right now, but I estimate that between 20-30% of the products we receive from Amazon as customer returns can be reclassified as new. Maybe some of them have a small imperfection in the packaging, but as long as it’s a tiny thing, we send it.
This also happens, but hopefully less mexico whatsapp number data frequently. This applies to 5-10% of products. Amazon customers often return junk, or remove parts or other oddities. What we have seen here would already be enough for a short chapter in a new book for Amazon.
Product classification as second hand
If the product is in good condition but do things the simplest way comes in damaged packaging, we classify it as second-hand. We cannot ship it from Spain to Amazon (we could ship it to a German warehouse from Spain, but shipping is more expensive) so that it can be sold as second-hand. Although it would be possible to ship it anyway, we don’t do it because it takes up too much time. To achieve an optimal result, you would have to take photos, etc. This does not fit well with our existing processes. We can prepare a shipment of 200 units of the same product, but not a shipment of 200 products with one unit of each.
At this point we have the following options:
- Donate the product : we could donate gambler data all the returns. We do this for some of them, but not for all of them. It would be a waste of money, apart from the small tax advantage that it brings, but that does not compensate for the cost.
- Collaborating with a private seller : I am carrying out a similar model in Germany. I give the product to the person to sell on Ebay. Then we go 50/50.
- Collaborate with a toy store in the village : this would also be an option, although not the best. There is one in the village where we could carry out a model similar to the one mentioned above.
Returns are a headache for many companies. Now that we are growing, they are for us too. Let’s see what we do. I’ll tell you about it.
